At the counter

Four visible steps. You agree before we pay.

You see the purity reading, weight, and calculation. The normal visit takes about 15–20 minutes, and you can stop before accepting the quote.

  1. Test

Your gold is tested by XRF at a verified testing point in the Souq while you wait, and we show you the exact purity reading.

  2. Weigh

It is weighed on a calibrated scale at the counter, and you see the weight that goes into your quote.

  3. Quote

We show the tested value, current buyback margin, and estimated payout before you agree, with no surprise deductions.

  4. Get paid

Agree the price and get paid the same visit: cash up to the legal limit, or a same-day bank transfer for larger amounts.

The live rate is the starting point.

We test the purity, weigh the item, and calculate its gold value from the current Dubai rate. The quote then states our current buyback margin and estimated payout before you visit.

Jewellery is paid on its gold content. The making charges paid when it was bought are not recoverable. Read the complete guide to selling gold in Dubai for the formula and comparison advice.

Send karat and weight

Normal and transparent

  • Making charges on jewellery are not paid back; you are paid for the gold content.
  • The current buyback margin and estimated payout are stated in your quote before you visit.
  • Scrap or unmarked jewellery is valued on the gold content actually measured.

Reasons to walk away

  • A testing, handling, or wastage fee added after the quoted buyback margin.
  • Refusing to show you the XRF reading, or quoting before your gold is tested.
  • A price quoted before your gold has been weighed.
  • Pressure to decide on the spot, or a different rate because you are a tourist.

What changes by item type.

The live rate is common, but purity, tested gold content, and collectible value can change how an item is assessed.

What to bring

Three things are enough.

  1. Emirates ID or passport

Required for gold transactions in Dubai. A passport alone is fine for tourists.

  2. Your gold

Any condition: boxed bars, worn jewellery, broken chains, loose coins, or scrap.

  3. Receipt (optional)

Useful if available, but never required. We pay on tested weight and purity, not paperwork.

Checkable facts, not sales claims.

In the Gold Souq since 2013

Visit a real shop at Shop No. 4, opposite the Women’s Museum, and decide at the counter.

You see the exact karat

The XRF reading is shown before any price is agreed. We test so you see the result, not to talk your gold down.

We buy what others skip

Inherited pieces, broken chains, odd-karat gold, overseas coins, and unmarked scrap can all be tested.

Cash or same-day transfer

Cash up to the legal limit, or a same-day bank transfer for larger amounts. No jewellery exchange is required.

Priced on the live rate

The quote is tied to the day’s spot rate, with the current buyback margin and estimated payout stated before you visit.

No pressure

Check the rate, ask questions, and decline at any point before you agree.

Selling gold in Dubai.

How much will I get for my gold today?

It is based on the tested gold value at the live spot rate, minus our current buyback margin. Send your karat and approximate weight on WhatsApp; we will confirm the exact percentage and estimated payout before you visit, with no separate testing, handling, or wastage fee added afterwards.

Do I need the original receipt?

No. We buy on tested weight and purity, so the receipt is optional. Just bring a valid Emirates ID or passport.

What documents do I need?

A valid Emirates ID or passport — that is it. ID is a legal requirement for gold transactions in Dubai.

Can tourists sell gold in Dubai?

Yes. A passport is enough — you do not need UAE residency or a local bank account to sell gold here.

Will you buy gold without a hallmark, or broken and scrap gold?

Yes. We test everything, so the stamp does not set the price — the actual gold content does. Broken chains, single earrings, and unmarked pieces are all fine.

Will I get my making charges back?

No. You are paid for the gold content; the design and workmanship you paid for originally are not recoverable.

How is the purity tested?

Your gold is tested by XRF at a verified testing point in the Souq while you wait, and we show you the exact reading before you agree to a price. The result decides the price — no guessing.

Will you pay cash or by bank transfer?

Both. We pay cash up to the legal limit, or a same-day bank transfer for larger amounts. There is no obligation to take jewellery in exchange.

Is there VAT when I sell my gold?

No. As an individual selling your own gold, you do not charge or pay VAT on the sale.

How long does it take?

Usually about 15–20 minutes: test, weigh, calculate, agree, and pay. Walk in with your gold and you can leave with the cash the same visit.

Do you buy silver too?

Yes — bars, coins, and 925 sterling silver, priced on the live silver rate.

I am leaving the UAE — can I sell quickly?

Yes. Walk in with your gold and ID; we test, quote, and pay the same day, so you can settle before you fly.
